Music Comes First Records was established in March 2009. The record label are fully independent and is run by 3 people. These are Jay McLeary who is the Managing Director, John Mcghee who is the Executive Producer and John Meikle who is the Label Consultant. The reason that the label was founded was because Jay, John And John felt very strong about the UK music scene. The label believe that there are many unsigned but yet talented and exciting artists in the UK. They believe that they could add to the already expanding scene and expose talent of the UK even more. With Jay, John and John having a keen interest in music and also good knowledge between them of 'Underground' artists and 'Mainstream' artists they were keen to start up the record label. Since the start of the label, MCF Records have signed a number of very exciting prospects throughout different genres such as Hip Hop, Punk, Grime and Indie. The Music Comes First Records owners like to class the label as a family.
The label is only going to grow as it expands and many exciting projects are in production at the moment.
