I am known by either of the two names. Blasfima Sinna which is my artist name and also U-Turn which is my Dj And Producer Name. I have lived in and around Edinburgh since 1990. I started making music in 1997 and my hunger for music continues to grow. The name U-Turn is a well known name in Edinburgh. I have held residencies at clubs such as Rogue State, Split, Access and most notably Scratch - one of the best hip hop clubs in the UK in my opinion. I have supported international acts like Dj Premier, Dj Cashmoney and Lord Finnesse. In 1999 I made the finals of Scottish Dj Championship. I have battled Dj's in cities like London, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow and I was a prize winning Dj. I became Scottish Dj champion in 2005...to this day I remain the undisputed Scottish Champion. Also I qualified for the UK Dj finals at shepherds bush empire in London- check me on the DVD- available in shops worldwide. While doing my thing with the Dj scene I also started working at home on my rhymes and making beats. In 2004 I made a couple of tracks with Hudson Mohawk who I knew from battling in Dj competitions. That was the first time I recorded a verse and I really wanted to do more. I received encouragement to make more tracks and hooked up with Dark Rumors who consisted of Madhat and Riddlah. I had Dj'd for Dark Rumors at gigs and also performed as an mc on some tracks. This is when the Blasfima Sinna side of my character began. 22 year old grime artist Ceez is originally from Manchester but moved up to Edinburgh 9 years ago. Ceez has been writing lyrics for 9 years and has been freestyling for 5 years. Ceez's main influences at the start of his career were hip hop, garage, jungle and drum n bass. As the United Kingdom music scene evolved and grew Ceez picked up on a new style of music which was grime. Ceez instantly felt like this was the music genre which his fast flow and punchy lyrics would be suited. Artists which Ceez feel's he gets the most inspiration from are Trimble, Wiley, Breeze, Skepta, Jme, Roachy and Roll Deep. At the moment Ceez is working hard with his Music Comes First family members making new tracks and recording in Madhats recording studio "Wonderland". A taste of what to come from Ceez was given on the MCF Radio show "Music Always Comes First" on Subcity Radio. He performed the upcoming track "Look Above You's" and great feedback was received about this live performance. Live performances are starting to become a regular feature in his life now as he is now part of the MCF family and will be appearing at any of the label's gigs in the future. Ceez feels that the projects which is he is working on at the moment are some of his best work so far. Also that being a part of the close knit MCF family is integral to his development and growth in the UK scene. He personally feels that the artists he has around him not only on the label, but on the scene as a whole are some of the most professional, determined and versatile people around. If you wish to contact Ceez, you can reach him via email: |

23 year old Edinburgh born Madhat has been writing and producing music for the past 9 years. He started writing raps and experimenting with rhyming while at school. From what started as something to kill time soon became a lot more serious. Aided by his life long friend fellow Edinburgh artist known as Riddlah the pair began making songs under the name Dark Rumors. Over the next year the two unknown artist's would begin to flood Edinburgh and the internet with their dark and grimey song's about their take on life often mixing the harsh reality of the world as it is and also with a fictional spin at the same time. After starting to make a small buzz on the internet and in the club scene, Dark Rumors were soon signed to Glasgow hip hop label Powercut Productions. Although much work and effort has gone into the Dark Rumors debut album, it has still not been completed and though in the final stages, it is unknown when it will be released. During the making of the Dark Rumor album, Madhat had a little more time on his hands and thus began working on his solo career. Through the club scene and internet Madhat met a lot of other emcees and began to work with a large number of people. Soon his collection of solo songs began to build along with his reputation for hard work and dedication. With the Dark Rumor album on hold for the time being, Madhat, Riddlah and the talented Dave Gunn and other's started the Evil Residents, a large crew of emcees and producers. Many tracks were worked on as a collective but due to people living busy life's and other circumstances, the Evil Residents morphed from the big group it was to jus being Madhat, UTurn, Riddlah and Dandy. Although many tracks were made, the Evil Residents split due to unexplainable differences with one member of the group. The crew then came to the conclusion that different paths would need to be taken but almost all off the group are still very close friends. I've been rapping for nearly seven years now, since September 2002. I've recorded over one hundred and fifty tracks, two albums, a mixtape & my first album from MCF Records "Lovesick" is out now. Email info@musiccomesfirstrecords.com for a FREE copy. My first album: 'Kiss My Gritz LP' was fully produced by Bigg Taj, it's fifteen tracks deep & features Loki, Bigg Taj & Bluhnt. I was finding myself with this album, still trying to work out how I wanted to sound and developing my style, a few tracks from this turned a few heads 'The End featuring Bigg Taj' & 'A World Full of...' - a track about the state of our world and how I felt, at the time, about the matter at hand. Second Album: `Self Inflicted EP' I was in a dark place when I wrote this, I was considering the very meaning of my own existence, Spent a lot of time intoxicated, a drunken mess, the cracked shell of a man, but that all changed when I started writing for `Self Inflicted' it seemed to be easier to get drunk than it was to pick a pen up, although this album, in my eyes, doesn't sum-up my best work, it took hard work and a lot of effort to write it. 8 tracks deep, all solo tracks. Third album: a collaborative effort from myself and WurrD, the 'Sinister Sinisism EP' is 7 tracks deep, it's produced in full by Bill Breakz & Features Skribbo from The Being Crew & Bombdiss. This is music that reflects on a dark mind state & brought me out of a three months depressive slump. Check out Nity's Full Bio and listen to his tracks here..... |

Steph Campion is 22 years old and originally from Lanark. She has been staying in Livingston in West Lothian for the past 16 years. Steph started playing the guitar in high school and her interest in music developed. For the past 9 years she has been writing her own music and was forged in the heat of proper acoustic/indie and rock of the 90s. Major influences have been other female guitar vocalists such as KT-Tunstall and Texas, as well as Oasis, Travis and Stereophonics. Previously Steph has done some small scale performances such as open mic nights and acoustic sessions in pubs, but mostly just been working on her music, as well as furthering her education. Steph joined the Music Comes First Family in October 2009. Already she has found herself with a good level of projects to work on. These include ghostwriting for MCF's youngest artist 16 year old singer Blythe. Also working on Blythes development as a young female artist because Steph has been there before. Other projects include working with the other artists on the label and producing some good quality music. In October 2009 Steph was a guest with Blythe on MCF radio show Music Always Comes First on Subcity Radio. They both gave an amazing acoustic session live on air and this can be listened to on www.subcity.org/shows/musicalwayscomesfirst. The shows are free to listen too and it's the show titled Acoustic Session. The tracks which were performed live were "Estranged" and "100 ways to interpret a smile" and these can be found on this page on the media player. With a great amount of feedback being sent to the MCF owners, Steph will most definitely be back on the show soon. Steph's style is acoustic/indie rock. She prides herself with having the ability to come up with a song on the spot and can sing about anything. Steph has made it clear that she is looking forward to working with the MCF family and believes with there help she can not only broaden her musical horizons but develop as an artist. |
