The Zico's are a four piece band from Cumbernauld and have been together (in one form or another for the past four years). During which time the band played some great gigs including The Garage (Glasgow), The Renfrew ferry, The Arches and the famous King Tuts. The current line-up consists of Mickey on Vocals and Dave on Lead guitar, who are brothers , The bass player, Paddy, who has been playing in different bands with Dave for years, and Sean, their drummer,who they met at a Cumbernauld jam session a couple of years ago and have remained friends.They have spent the best part of 2009 writing, rehearsing and recording new material, preparing for a few gigs to close out the year. The band have had tracks played on XFM and Clyde 1 and have recieved good reviews. 2010 will see the band aim to release some new material and return to regular live performances, doing what they do best.They are influenced by bands like the Rolling Stones, The Verve, The Stone Roses, The La's, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Doors.
